all the way to ~ はるばる~へ

"All the way to" can be used when the place is "far from." Today, I practiced listening, focusing on Part 3. One of my error answers is from this which I didn't know the meaning.  I can't listen and notice that it's the key point to answer. An example of "all the way to" is like this; "I go all the way to Okinawa." This is very convenient expression in daily life. I have an new expression today.

今週末の計画など my plan for this weekend

I'm indulgent with my own. I always regret doing nothing for my study of English. So, I firstly write about my plan, then I force myself into the situation which I have to study. Today, I work an exercise book for reading section. I'm going to answer about 100 questions. Then, I will check my week point including time management. I do as much as I can.

Recently, I often stay alone at home because my husband is busy for his work and my son is also busy for his school or "bukatsu," playing baseball, every day. Last year, I went to see his baseball game every weekend. But nowadays he hates me to see his game. This gives me enough time. But I don't accustomed myself to this situation yet.

今日は、まずはリーディングの問題集から１００問ほど取り組むつもりです。時間はたっぷりあるというのに、まだこの状況になれないこの頃です。

ブログ再開します

It's been a long time since I wrote this blog. How time flies! I reopen writing about studying for TOEIC and things in my daily life. So far, my score is 785, and I'm going to take the test in November. Now, I study for the test by using some textbooks. The difficult parts are part 3, 4 and 7. Especially, I can't always manage the time during the test. Lack of time is very crutial for me. I'd like to improve it as much as I can.

By the way, according to weather news, typhoon is approaching to Japan. It will hit Tokyo tomorrow. How many times does the typhoon make landfall in Japan? I don’t like this atmosphere which shows cloudy and humidity before typhoon, and also don’t like this feeling without stop thinking about it. If the power of typhoon is strong, it’s terrible to get the natural and infrastructural damage. I hope the typhoon is disappeared and changed to good weather!

2年ぶりにブログを再開します。まだ目標の９００点には到達せず。。英語で日記を書きながら力をつけていきたいなと思ってます。台風も心配。。。

リスニングテスト

It's too bad! I took a practice test of listening. I went on correctly answer 52 out of 100. What should I do? I still have the work of memorizing every day. Sometimes, I had listening trainings using English websites. I have only two weeks until the TOEIC test. I will try everything I can for the test.

Today, I began to use new textbook for the TOEIC. It is "Reading Training for the New TOEIC Test". I use it in order to improve my reading skill. When I took the TOEIC test, due to lack of time, I couldn't answer all of the questions. So I have to read English faster!

レポートが一段落

I submitted my term paper to Professor today. I wrote about tourism culture in Japanese. I cited some English books for the paper. I think that reading English books for my study at graduate school is different from for the TOEIC test. Of course, I can't read English books for my study without a dictionary, but I think that they are easier to read than the TOEIC text books. It is because there are various contents in the TOEIC text books that aren't familiar to me. Anyway, I have already finished 6 papers. Although 1 paper is left, I have enough time to write it. So I have to concentrate on studying for the TOEIC. In addition to memorizing words, I'm going to study listening and reading. It's just start!

大学院の勉強とTOEICの勉強はリンクしないんですね。期末レポートが一段落したので、リスニングやリーディングも取り入れて勉強していこうと思ってます。

今日で5日目

Today is 5th day since I begun to prepare studying for the TOEIC test.

I'm doing well･･ maybe.

Yesterday, I went to the elementary school in order to watch the baseball game of my son. The game was the practice one for mainly 5th grade players. There are 18 members of 4th and 5th grade players in the team. My son is 4th grade. Because it was the practice game, all players could play for the game. My son also played as a left fielder from the 3th inning. He went 1 for 2. But the thing surprised me that he hit the game winning!! He was a lucky man. Of course, I was happy. 

英単語暗記作業、まだまだ先は長い。。早くも飽きてきた感じなのですが。

息子が頑張っている姿を見て、少し触発されたような気がします。
